More pictures ~ now on plogger

I have recently started using a CMS called Plogger to store my pictures on my homepage.

I like to keep my pictures on my own domain, that way I am certain that I am not giving away rights of some kind to my pictures and also I am a bit better able to keep track of what they are used to.

Plogger is a nice and simple system, installing it was extremely easy and uploading my pictures, sorting them and putting a bit of text to them is as easy as anything else I have tried.

So feel free to go take a look at my new picture galleries, I even have added some pictures from recent geophysics work I've done.

Kvistur looking good when he is angry

I have moved my horse to this new place where I live now, right now he is on the pasture with a mare, Skotta, that he is getting along with very well.

Now today Skotta was taken out for a little ride while Kvistur was left alone on the pasture, he sure wasn't satisfied with this, I kind of expected this so I had brought my camera and this resulted in this little album of Kvistur hissing around over having been left alone.

Fever pictures

For some reason my body decided that today it didn't wanted to take stop working.

I have been feeling sick all morning today, I haven't really been able to figure out why until now where I had the bright idea to try and put a hand to my own forehead, no wonder I am feeling a bit sick.

Anyhow I was out for a walk today and took a few pictures, these 12 pictures I uploaded reflect some of the strange things that catch ones attention when being fever struck, seems taking pictures with a fever isn't that terrible idea after all.

Anyhow I am of to bed, enjoy the pictures.

Matildes pictures

A farrier I know superficially from the time where Kvistur and I was riding with tourists during the summer where I bought Kvistur takes some really great photos. A lot of these are of Icelandic horses but there are also other great shots.
Thought I would just post a link for you all to enjoy.

Panoramio

I just came upon this service Panoramio which is a photo album where you can upload your pictures and then geotag them. The whole thing uses google maps, it's quite nice (even though also a bit slow).
I uploaded two pictures myself, but I don't think i will be uploading many pictures to this service, there are too many errors all the time, most of them probably caused by problems with too little bandwidth for their servers or perhaps overloaded servers.

Pictures: Trækstien from Ans and almost to Kongensbro.

I have just been putting some new pictures on my homepage.

They were taken on a walk along a path called Trækstien (pdf link) which is a long walking path that goes on the northern/eastern side of Tange sø but that is just a little part of it, the entire path is from Silkeborg to Randers, I guess walking it in its full length is at least two day travels (with good speed). I walked from Ans to Kongensbro but ran out of batteries for my camera along the way, the path where the pictures are from is something like the northern shore of Tange Sø on this map.

I parked the car not so far from Ans (just on the other side of the bridge leading over Tange Sø) and when I then got to Kongensbro I took the bus back to Ans. It a really beautiful trip, but I advice that if you bring really good footwear especially when the water is as high as it is now where parts of the path the path are very swampy.

A few new pictures

I just added a few pictures to this gallery from a walk I took in Vodskov and not so far from where I live here and one picture from a trip to Ry.
I had something like 450 MB of photos in the camera after these two trips, these three pictures I added were some of the better ones.

Deer pictures

My internet connection is back!

Yesterday I spend a lot of the day walking around with my camera in the forest.
I spend what must have been more than an hour trying to get close enough to 3 deer grazing to get a decent shot with my camera that only has 8x zoom.
As can be seen the best picture I got of these three young deer isn't amazing. Still I enjoyed the time spend watching these beautiful creatures, trying to get closer to them along the edge of the forest without making noise or otherwise letting them become aware of my presence.

Pictures of puppies

Well I got tired of sitting in the hammock, so even though it is probably not good for my foot not being elevated rigth now, I decided to upload a few of the pictures from last week with the puppies.

I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted to, but at least I got these of these little adorable blessings :)

I had a wonderful time together with these 13 puppies, I so wish I was home enough to get myself a dog or two ... or maybe 13 :)
